Motion Design

Amethyst cluster is a multi-positional system of sub-assemblies that can be reconfigured to create various spatial constructs. Focusing on architectural conditions and relationships such as inside/outside, solid/pores, opaque and transparent, and static and animated--to name a few, Amethyst cluster investigates possibilities of simple movements with maximized spacial impact.
Developed through iterative digital fabrication processes, this project looks at spacial configuration as a scale-less effect.
Moving beyond digital and physical, Amethyst cluster questions the interiority and exteriority--not merely as a functional architectural concept, but as a possible driver for design thinking and motion design.
