Link to the Live World

Intertopia is a world of articulation and reconfiguration of thematically organized objects and materials to create two distinct realms. Objects are assembled with similar constraints of statuary, symmetry, and thematic elements. The realms are separated by an ambiguous form to further emphasize the separation and distinction of each region, but also unifying and encompassing the entire project. As the visitors venture into the inbetween “limbo” area, they come across different areas of engagements of space that celebrate the thematic qualities of the world. One such engagement are the oculi that allow the visitors to take in views and share their experiences with others in the material world. Visitors are encouraged to test their aim to receive an award that shares formal languages with destinations. After engaging in central limbo, the visitors have a variety of options to traverse and reach the realms. They can be in the form of walking, flying, or carts with ambiguous destinations to each world. Once they arrive in each world, the visitors are encouraged to explore and engage with the environment. Finally ending their experience by exploring the articulated structures that laid the foundations of the realm.
