WunderWorld is a pop-culture fantasy graduation space inspired through the imagination of a world built from and governed by its cultural production. Enter this figural carnival and wander through the cute and colorful landscape. The journey from the surface through the foundations defines the allegorical nature of the world that references the complex networks of relationships that define our cultural landscape. Two diametrically opposed spaces manifest the stratification of cultural classes.
On the surface, enter WonderWorld, a dreamland park of pop abstraction curated through cultural selection into the most simplified expressions. The surface represents the face-value of culture, where only the items that pass the social filters are given the agency to exist. This world is a façade of reality, curated, edited, and distorted into neatly defined rules, insistent on the recycling of similar figures and common themes. Primary colors and figural forms define the aesthetic logic and coalesce into an atmosphere of perfect pop fakeness.
Down below, prepare to experience the UnderWorld, a cultural factory that drives the world above. Here, underground subcultures are given the space to exist, where rules can be bent and broken, and new creative expressions can be explored. Here the world grounds itself in reality, using literal representations of the world to intensify the realness of the experience. This cavernous space enables the expression of individuality from content creators and individuals are able to leave their mark on the space. Now, the space is exploring the creative potential of a high-energy graduation event. This stage-like configuration referential of electronic music and musical festivals amplifies the excitement of the event and imposes its explosion of forms and colors over a captive spectator audience. The use of video screens, colorful lighting rigs, and vibrant patterns complete this theatrical space.
