Link to the Live World

Project_Flux explores a Sci-Fi/Futuristic theme by immersing the character into a larger fragmented mechanical system that has been repurposed into a factory scenario. A dark and desolate position on sci-fi uses robotics and mechanical qualities as the detail, curator, performer, and language of the world. The building merges with planetary rock and floats endlessly through baron space. The mechanical language is used to organize and curate the spaces. The deliberate sectional qualities are used to celebrate the “inside”, not only as a spatial condition but as a detail, profile, or image. The interactions are used to activate the spaces and pose dynamic scenarios to the user as a way for them to act on and in the environment making them a performer and audience simultaneously. The bright and saturated lights accentuate the industrial detail and codes the history of the site. The dark tone and the anxious atmosphere are drawn through the mysterious soundscape that echoes into the void; In addition to the muted background being highlighted by various integrated lighting systems. As life has been isolated to the interactions and neon lights the user is drawn to them as a beacon or lifeline to distract from the lack of activity beyond the boundaries. The graduation sequence is embedded into the experience of the world which allows the character to explore the various parts of the factory and find their way to a unique final ceremony.
